S2B Impact Forum is back: the congress of impact economy in Barcelona
The event is now in its 7th year, this time in a digital format and with its sights set on the Sustainable Development Objectives
Barcelona is committed to a responsible and sustainable economy, and, with the involvement of both the public and private sectors, its aim is to put the city's economy on a more sustainable, efficient and equitable footing. This is borne out by its commitment is the S2B Impact Forum, a congress organized by the Ship2B foundation.
The event will be held between 9 and 13 November, and this year it has opted for an exclusively online format, featuring more than 80 national and international speakers and more than 50 exhibitors in the virtual Impact Expo. The aim of the S2B Impact Forum is to link up entrepreneurs, investors, large corporations and public agents so they can share ideas on key themes and innovative practices and so discover ways to help promote the impact economy.
This year's event will once again shine a light on the Sustainable Development Goals and will be setting what the organizers call ‘destination 2030,’ a deadline for companies, investors and entrepreneurs to achieve the goals.
The forum will also focus on understanding the reasons for the success (or failure) of certain entrepreneurs, and will review the role of activists, employees and companies in dealing with issues such as the circular economy, climate change, and responsible consumption. And there will be talks on current issues in the sector, such as investment in the new economy and the impact ecosystem.

The congress will take advantage of the technological advances represented by the virtual format to promote international participation and to build up an even more extensive ecosystem in which to debate and share ideas on key issues in social innovation.
The S2B Impact Forum will feature a virtual space where attendees will be able to learn about the best startups and investment funds, and to familiarize themselves with key agents in the sustainable economy ecosystem. The aim of the Ship2B foundation, founded in Barcelona in 2013, is to promote the impact economy, a new economic model in which the main purpose of companies, investors and organizations is not simply to maximize profits but to make a positive social or environmental impact. To this end, the Foundation invests in high-impact startups, promotes corporate impact venturing as an innovation strategy for large companies, and encourages impact investment.
